Motorcycle Storage
Indoor Heated Motorcycle Storage
Anchorage gives you a riding season, not a riding year. From first freeze to breakup the bike sits, and where it sits decides what condition it comes out in.
A tarp in a driveway traps moisture against the tank and the chrome. An unheated garage swings with the weather, and every swing puts condensation on metal. Neither is kind to a fuel system or a battery.
South Side Storage gives you an indoor heated unit instead. Every unit here is heated, so the bike sits at a steady temperature rather than following the outside air down and back up again.
Units are sized so a bike does not need a full garage space, which keeps the monthly cost sensible for what is essentially a seasonal problem. Tell us the make and model and we will match the space to the machine. For household goods or business storage, see heated storage.

How to Store a Motorcycle for the Winter
An hour of preparation in October saves a frustrating afternoon in April. Everything goes into an indoor heated unit once it is ready.
- Wash and dry the bike completely, including under the fender
- Wax painted surfaces and treat the chrome
- Change the oil and filter before it sits, not after
- Fill the fuel tank and add stabilizer, then run it briefly to circulate
- Inflate the tires to spec and get the weight off them if you can
- Remove the battery or put it on a tender at home
- Lube the chain and cables
- Plug the exhaust and airbox so nothing nests in them
- Leave it in gear or use a rear stand rather than the side stand alone
- Use a breathable cover, never a plastic tarp
- Note the mileage and keep the registration and insurance current
- Take the spare key home
